Bypass Pumping > CIPP Sewer Line Repair Bypass Pumping Project![]() ![]() MERSINO was contacted by Insituform to provide bypass pumping to allow for the re-lining of a 30-inch sewer line which ran under a railroad track. The bypass pumping system was straightforward in scope and consisted of an 8-inch Global Pump Trash Auto Prime Sound Attenuated pump capable of delivering the required flows of 2,200 gpm. The project became more complex when the railroad company would not allow MERSINO to run the bypass system under a railroad bridge in order to access the discharge point. MERSINO was able to develop an alternate system to effectively and responsibly deal with the discharge flows. MERSINO contacted a local company and ordered four 21,000 gallon frac tanks to hold the flows. Additionally, we contracted with two vac trucks to pull from the tanks as they were filling. The vac trucks were able to drive across the railroad tracks utilizing the existing roadway and access the wastewater treatment plant as planned. The bypass project was successfully completed. MERSINO is the only company in the nation capable of offering full service dewatering, bypass pumping, one-pass trenching and power generation services. We can design the best system for your situation because we are able to support all of the most common types of dewatering, not just a few. |
