Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Analyst to join the Mersino team in our Davison, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have above-average expertise in Excel and Pivot Tables, with strong analytical skills to manage and optimize inventory across multiple construction sites and warehouses. This position will be key to ensuring efficient material usage, cost management, and supply chain efficiency within the construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Monitor, track, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, materials, and equipment across multiple construction sites and warehouses.
- Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data using advanced Excel functions (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and macros) to provide insights and forecasts on material usage, stock levels, and order patterns.
- Reporting: Create detailed inventory reports for management and project teams, including trend analysis, inventory turnover rates, and demand forecasting.
- Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in stock management and recommend process improvements to minimize waste, reduce costs, and optimize stock levels.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers to manage lead times, reorder points, and ensure timely deliveries to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Cost Control: Assist the procurement team in managing budget constraints by providing accurate inventory usage and cost data.
- Compliance: Ensure all inventory-related activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
- System Management: Maintain and update inventory management systems (IMS) and integrate data from external systems as needed.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate inventory discrepancies, find root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, and data visualization.
- Experience with inventory management systems (IMS) and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar (ideally Odoo) for inventory management.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve inventory efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and reports to management and other teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to resolve issues and find solutions to optimize inventory processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with construction industry inventory needs and materials.
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
