Mersino is an established and growing competitor in the construction dewatering and pumping industry. Founded in 1988, we pursue those projects requiring a high level of expertise and professionalism, throughout the country. 

Must have experience in industrial, heavy equipment rental/sales, dewatering and/or bypass pumping sales, or construction sales to be considered.

The Sales Representative manages existing customers as well as develop new business within the Houston, TX market and surrounding south territory. Our Sales Representative drives business development and serves as a representative of the company, ultimately acting as a point of contact for our clients ensuring they receive premium products with a high degree of customer satisfaction in a manner that is profitable for the company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to develop business in an industry with high demand and limited competition, and that "extra something" that separates the most successful people from the rest.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development, build and maintain close relationships with clients, and ensure supreme customer satisfaction in the assigned territory
  • Develop the skills and product/service knowledge necessary to become a technical expert in our business
  • Plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Manage projects from beginning to end
  • Speak effectively with existing customers and educate prospective customers on the various products and services we offer
  • Provide excellent customer service and prompt responses to all customer inquiries
  • Research, obtain, organize, analyze and report sales and marketing data for the territory
  • Develop comprehensive business plans for meeting quarterly objectives.
  • Attend industry functions, promote our company image and recognition within the assigned territory
  • Secure change orders.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, reports, invoices, sales reports and more

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3 years’ experience in industrial equipment rental, sales manufacturing or managing construction projects
  • Knowledge of dewatering or bypass pumping 
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating and bidding procedures
  • Skills in workflow analysis and management
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating and bidding procedures
  • Knowledge of contract documents and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements
  • Ability to travel
