Job Summary:
The Contracts Manager plays a critical role in supporting our nationwide branch network by overseeing all aspects of contract review, negotiation, and compliance. This role is responsible for managing customer contract reviews, mitigating risk, and optimizing financial and operational performance. The Contracts Manager guarantees that all contractual agreements align with company policies, industry regulations, and business objectives. They will work closely with senior leadership, legal counsel, sales teams, and clients to negotiate favorable terms while maintaining strong business relationships.
Responsibilities:
Contract Management & Negotiation
- Lead the review and negotiation of client contracts, terms, conditions, and purchase orders to safeguard the company's interests
- Identify and address potential legal, financial, and operational risks in contractual agreements
- Provide strategic guidance to sales personnel on contract negotiations and modifications
- Collaborate with legal counsel and executive leadership to resolve complex contract issues
- Ensure all contract language is legally binding and aligns with company policies and industry standards
- Oversee contract execution, ensuring all documents receive final approval from the CEO as required
Risk Management & Compliance
- Develop and implement best practices for contract review processes to minimize company liability
- Maintain compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Establish and manage contract tracking systems to ensure timely updates, modifications, and renewals
- Provide regular reports and insights on contract trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management
Training & Process Improvement
- Develop and conduct training programs for branch and sales personnel on contract review protocols and best practices
- Establish standardized procedures to streamline contract negotiations and approvals
- Continuously assess and refine contract management strategies to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or related field: Paralegal certification preferred
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in contract administration, contract negotiation, or legal review
- Experience in the construction industry or related sectors preferred
- Proven ability to interpret complex legal documents and provide actionable recommendations
- Familiarity with using AI tools for contract analysis, risk assessment, and process automation
