Mersino is seeking an energetic and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI.

Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Company’s reporting process. The role reports directly to the Director of Finance and works closely with Senior Management and other members of the Finance Team in creating value for this growing company. 

The Sr Financial Analyst supports and collaborates on the financial reporting, treasury, accounting, and control processes. He/she coordinates and participates in the design, testing, implementation, and reviewing of complex and automated financial processes and improvements.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide analytical, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and project support to senior management
• Produce financial models and reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
• Support preparation of business cases to evaluate new investments or strategic directives, and/or capital expenditures
• Project analysis, billing analysis, and breakeven reviews
• Support Director of Finance and members of the finance and accounting team as required 
• Support the month-end intercompany reconciliation as required 
• Support Accounts Receivable/Payables on invoicing, cash application, and problem-solving needs as required
• Other special projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or Executive Team

Education / Licenses / Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, MBA/CPA a plus
• Self-starter with ability to proactively identify and solve problems independently with an appetite to grow their skills & career with a fast-growing organization
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Prior experience in muti-site locations with a regional footprint
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in the English language
• Strong analysis, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail
• Strong MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
• Practical experience in the use an ERP software
• Proficient in web based/online treasury management system

• Must be able to handle difficult discussions with employees and external stakeholders
• Strong proficiency in leadership and communication skills
• Must be able to formulate (based on data) action plans for correction and improvement
• Must be comfortable speaking in front of medium to large groups
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
