Hurricane Irene
ISSUE:
Widespread power outages along the East Coast of the United States caused by Hurricane Irene left 5 million without electricity.
OBJECTIVE:
Coordinate and deploy emergency power to essential facilities, business, and homes preparing for and recovering from extensive flood and wind damage.
REQUIREMENTS:
Over 100 generators ranging from 25 kW to 2000 kW
OUTCOME:
Back-up power was made available and was instrumental in recovery efforts throughout the region.
